Mexico will compete in Americas Zone Group II for the third straight year in 2014.

Mexico missed the chance to play for a place in Group I after losing 3-2 to El Salvador away in the Americas Group II secound round. The Arevalo brothers did the damage for the hosts as the pair each won their singles ties before combining to win the doubles rubber in five absorbing sets and secure an unassailable 3-0 lead. Miguel Gallardo-Valles and Rogelio Siller earned some consolation for Mexico, winning the dead singles rubbers in straight sets.
History
Mexico finished runner-up in 1962. In addition, it also reached the quarterfinals in 1986 and 1987.
